  • How does your use of font, color & imagery contribute to understanding?
  • Have you combined images, symbols and text successfully to get your point across?
  • Does the infographic tell a story?
  • Is your infographic educative? persuasive?  guiding?  What is your objective?  Are you being transparent?  ARE YOU BEING CLEAR?!?

Although this was posted way back in 2009, Ms, Roy's article analyzing exactly why this graphic works is still one of the most effective tutorials online!  Her step-by-step advice on how to conceptualize infographic creation is well worth the read.
