Heritage Quest - provides complete US Federal Census images for all decades (1790-1930) and name indexes for many years. Also included are about 8,000 family histories, 12,000 local histories, and 260 primary sources. Also includes Persi (genealogy index) and Freedmans Bank (African American Bank).

Ancestry (Classroom Edition) is a genealogical database collection including digitized images of the U.S. Federal Census (1790-1940), Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, Military Records, Vital Records (dating back to the 1800s), and more.

You must access Ancestry while on campus. It is also available at any Ohio public library branch. You will not be able to search this database at home.

The Ellis Island database provides access to the passenger arrival records of about 22 million people whose names appear in the original ships passenger manifests for the Port of New York from 1892-1924.  You may do a passenger search and ship search without registering, but need to register for free to view the full passenger records.Text versions of the manifest are available, along with the scanned image.Pictures of the ships are often available.
