Pedro Arrupe SJ addressed the 10th International Congress of Jesuit Alumni of Europe in 1973, in Spain. This speech, delivered when Arrupe was Superior General, is commonly referred to as “Men for Others.” The Ignatian Solidarity Network states the following :
In 1973, this address was delivered to a group of Jesuit high school alumni who were predominantly male. We have adapted the text to include “men and women” to make its powerful message applicable for a contemporary Jesuit alumni audience.
